Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
The town crier is usually heard making this proclamation when big news is about to be shared.  The Staff Selection Committee would like to make an announcement worthy of a town crier with a loud clanging bell, at a minimum.
The Staff Selection Committee, appointed by the church council, has been meeting since mid-January to develop a list of congregational needs.   One question used to guide our discussion was “How do we make more and better disciples?”   The solution found by the committee is to engage more people in and around our church through a centralized youth and small groups program, and to begin a third, new style of worship service at Trinity.
The possibilities are great for Trinity.  The committee believes we can best meet our needs by hiring another staff person who will work with our current staff starting this spring.  Through March we will be advertising the position and accepting resumes.  April will be the month of interviews, and depending on the outcome, a person could be available to begin soon afterward.
Below is a copy of this job description which was adopted at the February church council meeting.
